Set YouTube Video As WhatsApp Status
Adding video from your Gallery to your WhatsApp status is easy. All you have to do is go to the status tab and insert the video into your status from your camera roll. However, if you want to set a YouTube video as your WhatsApp status, there are additional steps you need to take. The challenge is that you will not be able to add YouTube videos directly from YouTube to your WhatsApp status. This is because there is no element of that. If a YouTube video is not in your Gallery, you have to download it first. You can then set it as your WhatsApp status by selecting the video from your Gallery.
In this article, you will learn how to set YouTube videos as your WhatsApp status in 3 easy steps.

1.How To Set Youtube Video As WhatsApp Status
To set the YouTube video as your WhatsApp status, you need to download the video and set the video as your status by selecting it from your Gallery.
WhatsApp only allows you to set the video status of the video available on your Mobile phone.
If the video you want to set as your WhatsApp status comes from somewhere else (e.g., YouTube, Vimeo), you will need to download the video and save it to your gallery first.
Otherwise, you will not be able to set the video as your status because there is no feature of it.
Once you’ve saved the video to your gallery, you can add it to your status with “Add to my status”.
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to do this-
Step 1: Copy the video link-
First, open YouTube and go to the video you want to set as your WhatsApp status.
This video can be valid at any time – five minutes, 30 minutes, or 45 minutes.
However, you should be aware that if you add a video to your WhatsApp status, it will be cut into 30 seconds.
In addition, longer videos will take longer to download, and will take up more storage space.
Therefore, it is better to download a short video (e.g. 3 minutes) instead of a longer one (e.g. 30 min).
When on video, tap the share icon (next to dislike button).
After tapping the share icon, you will have many sharing options to choose from – Copy Link, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc.
The option you want to select is “Copy Link” as you need a video link in the next step.
Although there is an “WhatsApp” option, you do not want to use it because that will share the video directly on WhatsApp and not on your status.
Tap on “Copy Link” to copy the link of that video.
You have successfully copied the video link to your clipboard.
In the next step, you will be using the link to download the video and save it to your gallery.
Step 2: Download video online-
After you copied the video link in the previous step, you need to download the video and save it to your camera roll.
There are many ways to do this. Like you can download it using an online tool like save from net.
Using an online tool is an easy way to download YouTube video to your phone.
First, search for “Online Video Converter” on YouTube and click on the first result.
Also, you can use the tool website – save from net.
Once you navigated to the website in the search bar then paste the video link there.
After pasting the video link, tap the right arrow icon to start processing the video.
When the video has finished processing, a download button will appear below it.
Tap the download button to download the video in current quality.
Once the video has been downloaded, you need to save it to your camera roll.
To do so, navigate to your download (on iOS devices, your downloads are located in the top navigation bar) and then tap on the video.
In the navigation bar below, tap on the share icon, scroll down and tap “Save Video” to save the video to your camera.
You have successfully downloaded and saved the video to your camera roll.
In the last section, you will learn how to set a YouTube video as your WhatsApp status.
Step 3: Set video as your status
Once you have saved a YouTube video on your gallery in the previous step, you can set it as your WhatsApp status.
First, open WhatsApp and tap the “Status” icon in the navigation bar below.
Next, tap the “Add to my status” button or on the camera icon.
After doing so, your camera will turn on.
With your camera, tap the image icon at the bottom left of your screen.
Next, select the video you just downloaded in the previous step.
On WhatsApp, the duration of the video is 30 seconds.
If the video is longer than 30 seconds, WhatsApp will automatically slow it down to play its first 30 seconds.
You can change the start of the decision by dragging the arrow keys left and right.
When you’re done choosing a color startup, add captions to the video (optional), then tap the arrow icon to add it to your status.
Congratulations, you have successfully set a YouTube video as your WhatsApp status.

Can I monetize WhatsApp status videos on YouTube?
Yes, you can monetize WhatsApp status videos on YouTube if they do not have copyright.
